A TJOY LED filament bulb gives 800 lumens from 8 watts, where an incandescent Edison bulb needs 60.
| TJOY LED filament bulb | Incandescent Edison bulb | |
|---|---|---|
| Power for 800 lumens | 8 watts | 60 watts |
| Rated life | 15,000 hours | About 1,000 hours |
| Heat at the glass | Low | High: about 90% of the energy leaves as heat |
| Better choice when | The fixture is on every evening | You want the look of a glowing wire and accept the heat and the short life |
Incandescent figures come from the FTC, ENERGY STAR and the Department of Energy. Sources: FTC: Shopping for Light Bulbs, ENERGY STAR: Learn About LED Lighting, DOE: LED Basics, read 3 October 2026.
ST58 is the teardrop shape, 58 mm across at its widest. In the US the same shape is often labeled ST19.
The 60W equivalent lines give 800 lumens, as much as a regular A19. The 40W equivalent ST58 gives 500 lumens and suits fixtures with several bulbs.
