5000K looks like daylight at noon: bright and slightly blue. Colors show clearly under it. Our G9 capsules come in 6000K instead, one step cooler.

In the evening it can feel harsh in a living room. Use 2700K or 3000K there.

Take 5000K to see detail and true color. Take 2700K to wind down. Many homes use both: daylight in the garage and closet, soft white in the living room.

5000K is no brighter than 2700K at the same lumens. It only looks cooler. Most people find it too crisp for a bedroom at night.
For bluer white light, look for products marked 5000-6500K.
